My take:
WOW! This was a great YA sci fi/ fantasy/ a little romance/ apocalyptic...read! Melissa took the current events of today (earthquakes, etc) and made three teens and a shapeshifter the focus of finding not only the reason behind these things but maybe even stopping the potential end of the world. I enjoyed reading about other paranormal ideas (other than the routine witches or vamps) and learning about other countries. Labeled a YA...it could actually be appropriate for 12 on up...except for one scene of the two teens sleeping together (just sleep). The writing was great and kept me involved scene after scene. It read very quickly despite being about 250 pages. I thoroughly enjoyed The Gossamer Sphere and can't wait to read more by Melissa Conway!

About the author:
She lives in Washington and finally had the opportunity to quit her job and stay at home with her kids and write full time.  She has a background in the digital arts (you can see that in the book) and is a big fan of genealogy, antiques, nutrition and all things 3D animation.  You can check her out on her website.

I was given a copy of this book through the Indie Review Exchange and the author for an honest review.  No other compensation was given.
